We encourage and support you to talk to us about any concerns you have. We have trained staff who know how to help if you’re feeling unsafe. If you tell them about something that worries you, they will listen to you carefully and make sure you get the help you need.
If a teacher or staff member is worried about your safety or the safety of another child, they will take steps to make sure the situation is looked into properly. If necessary, the school will work with other trusted adults, such as social workers, to help keep you safe. We will make sure that you are supported in any way that you need, whether it’s through counselling, extra help, or just someone to talk to.
We have policies in place that all staff and children will follow to ensure that harmful behaviours such as bullying and discrimination are not tolerated.
We include lessons on staying safe, both online and offline, in your curriculum. These lessons will help you understand how to protect yourself and others. We will also keep you safe in the school building by ensuring that there are always staff around who can help and support you.
You are important. You deserve to feel happy, respected, and safe every day, at school and at home.
It’s okay to ask for help. If something ever makes you feel uncomfortable or scared, there are always adults around you who care and want to help.
Speak up if you’re worried. The more you speak up, the better everyone can make sure that you—and your friends—are kept safe and protected.
If you ever feel unsure or unsafe, remember:
There are always people in school who are there for you when you need them.
