Multi-Academy Trust and Governance

Higham Lane North Academy (HLNA) will become the fourth school in the Central England Academy Trust (CEAT), a thriving, diverse multi-academy Trust (MAT) with incredible scope for collaborative working and opportunities across the region.

CEAT is currently made up of Oak Wood Primary, Oak Wood Secondary and Higham Lane School. Higham Lane School is located approximately one mile from where HLNA will be located, allowing fantastic opportunities between the two secondary schools.

Higham Lane School is an Ofsted Outstanding school and has been judged as having World Class Status.

As with all three existing schools, HLNA will have its own Local Governing Body which will be officially constituted as a committee of the Board of Trustees, by which it will be held accountable. We will recruit school governors, based on their skills, from the local and business communities.

Trustees and school governors will meet regularly with the Headteacher and school staff in order to provide both challenge and support for the school.
